Anthropic Nears $30 Billion Funding Round at $900 Billion Valuation

$30 billion or more could be raised by Anthropic as soon as next week, in a deal that would value the AI startup above $900 billion.
That valuation would push Anthropic past OpenAI to become the world's most valuable AI startup, according to people familiar with the financing.
Sequoia Capital, Dragoneer, Altimeter and Greenoaks are expected to co-lead the round, with each planning to invest about $2 billion.
Founders Fund, General Catalyst and other existing backers are also expected to participate, underscoring continued investor appetite for large-scale AI bets.
