Judith Chalmers, the longtime host of ITV travel show "Wish You Were Here...?", died aged 90 after living with Alzheimer's for several years, her family said.
Her health had been declining for some time and worsened seriously in recent weeks, allowing relatives to be with her before she died surrounded by family.
Chalmers became a fixture of British television after taking over "Wish You Were Here...?" in 1974 and remaining with the primetime show until 2003.
A broadcaster for more than 60 years, she also presented "Come Dancing," "Good Afternoon," "Woman's Hour" and a Radio 2 show, and was appointed OBE in 1994.
ITV called her one of British broadcasting's most beloved faces, reflecting a career that began at 13 on Manchester's "Children's Hour" and made her a national TV mainstay.
