Manchester City Renames 7,000-Seat North Stand for Guardiola, Adds Statue After 20-Trophy Era

Manchester City will unveil the new Pep Guardiola Stand on Sunday, when the expanded North Stand opens with 7,000 extra seats for his final match in charge against Aston Villa.
The club is also commissioning a statue outside the Etihad to honor Guardiola’s decade-long reign, during which he won 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles and City’s first Champions League.
Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak informed Guardiola of the tribute on Friday, while owner Sheikh Mansour said the 55-year-old had left an "indelible imprint" on the club’s DNA.
The honors cement Guardiola’s status as the most successful manager in City’s history as he steps down after 10 seasons.
