Leeds Crown Court discharged the jury in the murder trial of Rico Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 44, who are accused of killing Ian Watkins.
Watkins — the former Lostprophets frontman — was stabbed to death in his cell at high-security HMP Wakefield on October 11 last year.
The 48-year-old from Pontypridd had been serving a 29-year sentence imposed in December 2013 after he admitted multiple sex offences, including the attempted rape of a fan's baby.
