Meta Launches Forum iPhone App for Facebook Groups as Its 2nd New iOS Release in May

Forum, a Facebook app, gives Facebook Groups a standalone iPhone experience, with users signing in through Facebook and carrying over their groups, profile and activity.
The app centers its feed on group conversations rather than broader Facebook content, and adds an Ask feature that pulls answers from across groups for recommendations, advice and discussion.
Meta also built in moderation support: group admins keep their main tools on Facebook while using an AI assistant in Forum to help manage communities and review content.
The launch extends Meta’s recent iPhone app push after Instagram’s Instants debut earlier in May, while Forum remains iPhone-only and is being publicly tested for usefulness.
