Thames Valley Police on Friday renewed a public appeal for witnesses, saying its investigation into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor extends beyond 2010 trade-report allegations to potential sexual misconduct and other offenses.
Police said misconduct in public office is a broad, complex offense that can cover sexual misconduct, corruption, conflicts of interest and financial wrongdoing, and that detectives are reviewing substantial material from the public and other sources.
The force is also pursuing allegations that a woman was taken to Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes, urging her to come forward, after lawyer Brad Edwards said a client claimed Jeffrey Epstein sent her to Andrew's home.
Andrew was arrested on Feb. 19 and questioned for hours over allegations tied to Epstein; investigators are also working with the U.S. Justice Department for additional material released from the Epstein files.
The case has widened pressure on Britain's establishment since the U.S. document release, with nine UK police forces now examining potential Epstein-linked wrongdoing and King Charles III having stripped Andrew of his royal titles last year.
