Thursday evening market hours of 4 to 7 p.m. won approval from the Victor Park Board, clearing the Bitterroot People’s Market to begin in June at Victor Park.
A Facebook push and vendor-interest poll drove the plan, with organizers saying the schedule avoids conflicts with markets already operating in Hamilton, Darby and Stevensville.
The market will focus on goods grown or made in the Bitterroot, from produce and baked goods to flowers and jewelry, while also raising money for a new park swing set.
Vendor applications open Tuesday at Victor Thrift & More and 406 Bitterroot Properties, as organizers expect a small start but say resident and seller interest has been strong.
