Galindo said in a Thursday video that journalists and the DCCC distorted her remarks, after outrage over her proposal to repurpose a federal detention site for "billionaire American Zionists."
She denied calling for an "internment camp" or a castration facility, but still backed imprisoning wealthy Zionists she accused of funding "genocidal prison systems."
Garcia, her Democratic runoff rival, said the comments have no place in the party, while Galindo again labeled him a "Zionist-backed cop-candidate" and tied him to Texas jails.
Democratic backlash has widened since her earlier posts, with Jeffries, Moskowitz, Gottheimer and Ocasio-Cortez all condemning the rhetoric as antisemitic or disgusting.
