Sam Corcos, Bessent’s IT modernization chief and a DOGE alumnus, initially faced questions from Sean Cairncross over his role after requesting Mythos access in April.
Treasury and Corcos have since obtained access to operate Mythos in a controlled environment segregated from Treasury’s own systems, according to people familiar with the arrangement.
The White House said the administration is coordinating closely to deploy secure technology quickly, while a senior official portrayed the dispute as an early jurisdiction fight rather than a rift.
