Xiaomi unveiled its Clip earbuds in China, adding 11mm drivers, AI features and up to 38 hours of battery life with the charging case.
The launch follows Korean reporting that Samsung’s next earbuds—widely referred to as Galaxy Buds Able—will also use a clip-type open-ear design.
That form factor has gained traction over the past two years as brands including Sony, Bose and Nothing pushed alternatives to traditional in-ear buds.
Samsung has not announced the product, but earlier software leaks showed a design resembling Xiaomi’s and other clip-on open-ear models, with a debut seen as possible around the late-July Fold 8 event.
