Samsung has started pushing the May 2026 security update to the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, with the rollout beginning in South Korea under firmware version S90xNKSS9GZE5.
The 506.30MB update fixes 36 security issues, part of Samsung’s broader effort alongside ongoing work on One UI 8.5 and One UI 9.0.
Other markets are expected to receive the patch in the next few days through the standard Software update menu.
The S22 lineup is also in line for One UI 8.5 later, but that release is expected to arrive after newer devices.
One UI 8.5 is set to be the last major software upgrade for the Galaxy S22 series, which will not receive One UI 9.0.
