Liverpool friends Jo Diop and Kush Burman crossed the finish line in northern Mongolia first, beating the other finalists by three hours to win series six.
The 19-year-olds completed a roughly 12,000 km route from Palermo to Hatgal via the Silk Road under the show's rules—no flights, no smartphones and a starting budget of £1,297 each.
Molly and Andrew from Northern Ireland finished second, Katie and Harrison from Manchester were third, and Mark and Margo said simply finishing honored a late family member's wishes.
The BBC One series remains one of the broadcaster's strongest reality hits, with this season's opener drawing 7.4 million viewers; applications for series seven close on May 31.
