Bernie Sanders Tells Fox Reporter to Get a Better Job Over 2,000 Platner Posts

Bernie Sanders snapped at a Fox News Digital reporter in the Capitol, saying “get a better job” when asked about Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner’s resurfaced Reddit posts.
The exchange came as Democrats largely sidestepped the issue: Richard Blumenthal said he had not seen the posts, Mazie Hirono declined comment, and Jeff Merkley said Maine voters should judge Platner.
Platner, whom Sanders endorsed in August 2025, is under growing scrutiny over deleted posts that included vulgar sexual comments and mocking a wounded Purple Heart soldier.
The controversy reaches beyond the latest posts: earlier resurfaced comments showed Platner urging rape victims to take responsibility and praising Hamas’ tactics, from an archive of more than 2,000 posts tied to his acknowledged Reddit account.
Platner has said some posts reflected a troubled period after military service and PTSD, leaving the fallout as a test of whether Maine voters accept that explanation in his Senate bid.
