A recent study found most participants labeled ketchup an ultra-processed food, placing it alongside pretzels, yogurt and almond milk in public perception.
The same research showed air-popped popcorn and tomatoes ranked high as healthy, unprocessed foods, while brown rice was also presented as a healthier, less processed option.
