A leaked trailer fragment posted on Bilibili on May 21 appears to confirm the new Sega fighter’s full title as Virtua Fighter Crossroads and shows early gameplay footage.
RGG Studio developers in the video describe a ground-up rework that keeps Virtua Fighter’s simple 3-button controls—punch, kick and guard—while reexamining the combat system.
The footage also suggests a visual upgrade influenced by recent Street Fighter and Tekken entries, pointing to a more modern presentation for the long-dormant series.
Sega had previously shown only a brief teaser for the project at The Game Awards 2024, and the fuller reveal may now come before or around EVO in June.
