Gemini Adds CapCut Editing Tools for Photos and Videos, With Launch Date Still Unclear

CapCut said Gemini users will soon be able to edit photos and videos with CapCut tools inside Google’s AI assistant app, marking a new partnership between the two companies.
The companies did not say which editing features will be included, how extensive they will be, or whether a paid subscription to either service will be required.
CapCut already offers AI design and image-generation features and has been expanding its editing lineup as rivals such as Instagram push competing products like the Edits app.
Google and CapCut have worked together before: Google Photos added an “edit with CapCut” shortcut in late 2025 that exported recap images into CapCut with exclusive templates.
