Vivaldi 8.0 is now available with a new “Unified” interface that places tabs, toolbars, panels and page content on one visual plane.
The redesign targets the browser’s previously fragmented look by removing subtle boundaries between interface layers and letting themes apply across the entire UI at once.
Six built-in layouts ship in the release: Simple, Classic, Vertical Left, Vertical Right, Auto Hide and Bottom, giving users multiple ways to arrange tabs and controls.
The free update follows Vivaldi’s broader push to differentiate itself from rivals with interface customization and, as earlier reported, no new AI features on Windows, macOS and Linux.
