Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3 Reveals 2 Screenshot Buttons for Aluminium OS

Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3 includes two hidden screenshot overlay buttons—“Copy to clipboard” and “Open in folder”—that were activated in testing.
The first lets users paste screenshots directly into apps and keyboard clipboard suggestions, while the second jumps to the screenshots folder in Android’s built-in Files app.
Enabling the 2 buttons removes the long-screenshot option on phones, suggesting Google is targeting larger-screen devices rather than handsets.
The same controls also appeared in a leaked Aluminium OS build, reinforcing the view that they are meant for Googlebooks, tablets or laptops.
Google has not said which devices will get the feature or when it might ship, and the teardown-based finding may never reach a public release.
