Apple rolled out sleep apnoea notifications for Apple Watch users in more than 150 countries and regions, including the U.S., EU and Japan.
The feature is designed to detect signs of moderate to severe sleep apnoea in adults 18 and older who have not already been diagnosed with the condition.
AirPods Pro 2 and later also gained a clinically validated Hearing Test that lets users check hearing levels at home when paired with compatible devices running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18.
Apple framed the additions as preventive health tools, citing research that untreated sleep apnoea can raise risks of hypertension, type 2 diabetes and cardiac problems over time.
