Tom Henderson deleted his original post claiming generative AI was being tested in Far Cry 7, but kept up a follow-up saying the work was for research and development.
Ubisoft's latest financial report said it is accelerating investment in generative AI both behind the scenes and in player-facing uses, without naming specific games beyond its experimental title Teammates.
That leaves open whether Far Cry 7 itself will ship without generative AI, with the remaining tweet supporting the view that the reported tests were internal tool experiments rather than final-game features.
