$60 million in backing will fund Scott Coker’s return to MMA with a new league set to debut in 2027, marking his first major promotion since Bellator.
Coker said the venture is aimed at unmet demand for a fresh global brand centered on competitive integrity, athlete respect and storytelling.
Peter Levin, a former Strikeforce investor, joined the project alongside backers including Upper Deck, D.C. United owner Steve Kaplan, Tony Hawk and Dean Dakolias.
The company has not announced a name, schedule or media deal, and it has yet to sign any fighters.
The launch comes as MMA competition broadens beyond UFC, with Jake Paul’s MVP saying its Netflix debut drew 12.4 million viewers and UFC landing a $7.7 billion Paramount rights deal.
