MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford will stage eight World Cup matches this summer, capped by the July 19 final at the 80,000-seat home of the Jets and Giants.
Transportation is a major pressure point: NJ Transit round-trip service from Manhattan costs $98—down from an initially announced $150—requires advance time-slot booking and a transfer at Secaucus Junction.
FIFA is also offering $20 shuttle buses from Manhattan and Clifton, while on-site parking will be limited to premium spaces near the American Dream mall and ride-share access will be routed through the Meadowlands racetrack.
Fan activity will spread beyond the stadium, with free fan zones planned in all five New York City boroughs and a ticketed site in Harrison, New Jersey.
