$14.3 million in seed funding will help The Path expand an AI therapy-plus-coaching app built around safer, structured mental health conversations rather than general chatbot engagement.
Prime Movers Lab led the round after backing the startup and deepening Tony Robbins’ involvement from adviser on branding to co-founder shaping the product’s coaching approach.
The company says its post-trained open-source model scored 95 on the Vera-MH mental health safety benchmark, versus a top score of 65 for consumer bots it argues are optimized for reinforcement and retention.
The Path grew out of founders’ earlier app Mental, where AI interactive audio gained traction; users can now choose among 11 virtual therapists, with the app free for now and priced at $40 a month later.
