Google Sparks Pixel 11 Glow Speculation After 2-Hour I/O Gemini Omni Demo

A glowing camera bar on a Pixel shown at the end of Google’s Gemini Omni video demo set off fresh speculation that I/O quietly teased a Pixel 11 feature.
The buzz centers on a brief visual in Omni’s “change reality with natural language” showcase, where the phone appears to light up around the camera bar as an AI disco ball appears behind it.
That reading is uncertain because the segment was explicitly demonstrating AI-altered visuals, and the device also appears to be inside a case, making the source of the glow hard to judge.
Earlier April code findings pointed to a Pixel 11 feature called Pixel Glow using about 8 LEDs, while a more recent leak suggested a smaller RGB LED array inside the camera bar rather than a full wraparound light bar.
If Pixel Glow ships, it is expected to provide glanceable alerts and could replace the temperature sensor, with Google’s next Pixel launch still likely months away.
Is Google's 'Pixel Glow' a real hardware leap or just a clever AI-generated illusion to create hype?
When AI can fake hardware in official demos, how does this change our trust in tech companies and their product reveals?
