2 House Democrats Threaten Daily Expulsion Votes Against Maureen Galindo Over Antisemitic Remarks

Jared Moskowitz and Josh Gottheimer said they would force repeated House votes to expel Texas Democrat Maureen Galindo if she wins a May 26 runoff and reaches Congress.
Galindo triggered the threat by calling for a prison for “American Zionists” and former ICE officers, and by posting that many Zionists are pedophiles who should be castrated.
Hakeem Jeffries called the remarks “disqualifying” and said Texas voters should reject her, while Galindo has not backed away and accused runoff rival Johnny Garcia of ties to “Zionist terrorism and trafficking.”
The fight lands in a San Antonio-area district Republicans redrew to improve their pickup chances, though Democrats still see a potentially competitive race.
Moskowitz and Gottheimer cast the episode as part of a broader rise in antisemitism in politics, with Gottheimer also criticizing Democrats who associate with streamer Hasan Piker.
