Fernando Vargas was carjacked at gunpoint during a live sports broadcast Tuesday at a gas station in Morelos, handing over his keys, phone, wallet and other belongings before leaving the vehicle.
Video posted on social media showed the armed man opening Vargas' driver-side door and demanding the items in Spanish while host Ed Martinez watched the robbery unfold on air.
Martinez later said Vargas was safe but badly shaken, and asked the public to help identify the suspect seen in the footage.
The Mexican Professional Basketball League, where Vargas serves as communications director, said Wednesday that he was doing well and condemned the attack; no arrests have been made.
