Late June is Nikki Bella’s target for an in-ring return after an ankle injury has kept her out for two months and cost her a WrestleMania 42 match.
March 27 was when Bella hurt the ankle on SmackDown in a tag match with Brie Bella against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and she said doctors will not know more until they reassess it in June.
Bella said she does not want to come back too early, stressing that her calves, quads and glutes must be rebuilt to avoid reinjury.
WrestleMania 42 had been set to feature her first WrestleMania match since 2017 and her first WWE bout in nearly 10 years, but Paige replaced her and teamed with Brie to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
