007 First Light will ship on PS5 Pro with Sony’s PSSR 2.0 instead of FSR 3.1, with IO Interactive saying the newer upscaler delivers cleaner, sharper and more stable image quality.
IO said the switch took about a day to integrate and needed no per-scene tuning, with the biggest gains showing up in dense foliage, cinematic character close-ups, and scenes prone to shimmering and flicker.
Other console versions still use AMD FSR 3.1.5, while PC players can enable DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Dynamic Frame Generation; path tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction are delayed to a summer update.
The James Bond origin story launches May 27 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for Q3.
