Jeremy Szafron has joined Kitco News as an anchor and producer based in the outlet’s Vancouver bureau, where he will cover finance and commodities for a global audience.
Szafron brings two decades of journalism experience after starting at CTV in 2006, moving from entertainment reporting into business coverage focused on mining, small-caps and macro market trends.
His career also included 2010 Vancouver Olympics coverage, development of an online video news program for PressReader, and regular appearances on CTV Morning Live and CTV News Network.
In 2012, he launched The Green Scene Podcast, which grew to more than 400,000 subscribers, then expanded into Investor Scene and Initiate Research covering mining and Canadian small-cap markets.
A Concordia University journalism graduate, Szafron has also worked in market strategy and investor relations across mining, energy, consumer products and technology.
