Trevor Bauer walked away unhurt after a blindsiding crash involving his black McLaren on a Phoenix-area street Wednesday, with emergency responders saying no one in the wreck needed hospitalization.
TMZ reported Bauer was driving at the posted 45 mph speed limit and was not at fault, while the 35-year-old was in Arizona to rehab back spasms.
The former Cy Young winner has not pitched in MLB since 2021 and is trying to return after a 324-game suspension over sexual assault allegations was cut to 194 games; no criminal charges were filed.
Bauer is now pitching for the Atlantic League's Long Island Ducks, where he is 4-1 with a 2.43 ERA, and has publicly said he would return to the majors for the league minimum.
