Bartek Ziemski reached Everest’s summit at about 9:20 a.m. Nepal time and skied down without supplemental oxygen, personal Sherpa support or fixed ropes.
The descent made the Polish alpinist only the second person ever to complete a ski descent of the 29,031-foot mountain under those conditions.
