Johnny "Joey" Jones reenlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on May 20 at the Pentagon, saying his earlier retirement left "unfinished business" after the service had paid him to recover.
Eight years into his original Marine career, Jones had deployed twice before a 2010 IED blast in Afghanistan cost him both legs and severely injured his right forearm and wrists.
At 40, the former staff sergeant said his return is meant to prove people with disabilities can still serve if they have more to give.
Pete Hegseth led the Hall of Heroes swearing-in and called the move "an absolute no brainer," praising Jones as a powerful public voice for the Marine Corps.
Jones will keep co-hosting Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show" and continue military analysis while remaining active on veterans' issues through advocacy and a Capitol Hill fellowship.
