David Sharpe Seeks Appeal of 2024 Fraud Findings in Ontario’s Top Court

David Sharpe plans to seek leave to appeal to the Ontario Court of Appeal after a fresh ruling upheld fraud findings against the Bridging Finance founder.
Wednesday’s statement from his lawyer said the lower court still acknowledged “significant concerns” about the Ontario Securities Commission’s conduct, forming part of Sharpe’s push for further review.
The move sends the case to Ontario’s highest court for provincial appeals, where Sharpe must first win permission before any full challenge to the fraud findings can proceed.
