Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson again split first-team reps at Cleveland's second OTA practice, the first session open to media, with the quarterback battle still unresolved.
Todd Monken said Sanders, who started 7 games as a rookie in 2025, has improved markedly in progressions, decision-making and getting the ball out.
Watson also drew praise from Monken, who said the quarterback's athleticism has returned after an Achilles tear in October 2024 wiped out his entire 2025 season.
Dillon Gabriel and rookie Taylen Green worked behind the top two, while Monken said he wants a starter in place by training camp in late July and definitely before Week 1 at Jacksonville.
