Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei used a social media statement to commemorate the second anniversary of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions' deaths, praising Raeisi's people-centered leadership and ideological steadfastness.
Ejei said Raeisi openly voiced the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and cited Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's past praise of the late president's tirelessness, piety and wisdom as his highest honor.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also drew tribute, with the judiciary chief calling the former foreign minister a skilled revolutionary diplomat who linked diplomacy with the battlefield.
Raeisi and Amir-Abdollahian died on May 19, 2024, when their helicopter crashed in East Azarbaijan's Varzaqan region while returning from the Qiz Qalehsi Dam inauguration to Tabriz.
