Several new “very large ARCs” are in development for ARC Raiders, Embark Studios said, with future updates set to add both familiar enemy forms and completely new designs.
Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal said the studio wants to avoid formulaic boss encounters, suggesting the new ARCs could bring different silhouettes, movement patterns and combat behaviors.
The push builds on recent enemy additions in the Riven Tides era, including the armored Turbine and earlier threats such as the Vaporizer, Comet and Firefly.
Embark tied the enemy plans to a broader roadmap through early 2027 that also includes larger map expansions, evolving progression systems and expeditions beyond the Rust Belt.
Player feedback is shaping those changes, Grøndal said, as Embark aims to make ARC Raiders distinct rather than chase extraction-shooter trends.
