Six months after joining Snapchat, Carson Daly said he now communicates with 13-year-old daughter Etta more on the app than in real life.
On "Today with Jenna and Sheinelle," Daly said the move was his way of "meeting kids where they are," using quick check-ins and emojis to keep a connection with his teenager.
Daly framed the app-based contact as imperfect but meaningful, saying the exchanges at least help him stay connected to Etta.
The TV host has long spoken publicly about parenting, calling fatherhood his biggest accomplishment and linking that view to losing his own father at age 5.
