May 13 security footage shows Anita Grayson, 75, shoving and striking a 20-year-old Tim Hortons shift lead before both ended up on the floor; Grayson later died at a hospital.
Police said Grayson had gone inside the Fort Wayne restaurant to complain about a drive-thru order and began berating a 17-year-old employee, prompting the shift lead to intervene and tell her to leave.
The shift lead told investigators she put her hands on Grayson to stop her from reaching the younger worker; police said the employee suffered scratches and had a chunk of hair pulled out.
No arrests have been made, and investigators said Grayson's cause of death remains undetermined as the Fort Wayne Police Department continues its death investigation.
