BTS will make a special appearance at the 52nd American Music Awards on May 25 in Las Vegas, marking the group’s latest return to the U.S. awards stage.
Three nominations could extend BTS’s 11 AMA wins this year: Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer and Best Male K-Pop Artist.
The appearance follows the launch of BTS’s Arirang world tour and the release of Arirang, their first album in nearly four years after all seven members completed military service.
641,000 first-week copies pushed Arirang to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Swim” hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 and led the Global 200 for four weeks.
The AMAs air live on CBS and Paramount+, with Queen Latifah hosting and Taylor Swift entering as the top nominee with eight nods.
