Kinetic Makes Dahlonega Gig-Ready With Multi-Gig Internet for 75% of Homes

More than 13,000 Dahlonega homes can now access Kinetic’s multi-gig fiber service, pushing the city above the 75% threshold for the company’s “Gig-Ready Community” designation.
The buildout expands next-generation internet for work, education, streaming and telehealth, with some locations funded through the American Rescue Plan Act in partnership with local and state governments.
Kinetic said the upgraded fiber network should support broader economic gains, citing research that links fiber-connected communities to 213% higher business growth, 10% higher self-employment and 14% to 17% higher home values.
The designation also fits Kinetic’s wider Georgia expansion as the Uniti unit adds fiber connections across the state after being named CNET’s 2026 Best Rural Fiber Provider.
