Hotiday, a Milan startup that sublets hotel rooms to travelers, ranked No. 1 on Sifted’s 2026 Southern Europe 100 after posting a 1,330.95% two-year revenue CAGR from 2023 to 2025.
Lexroom placed second with a 1,129.64% CAGR and this week raised a $50 million Series B, the largest 2026 funding round among six ranked companies that have already raised capital this year.
Enginy of Barcelona took third with an 889.61% CAGR, highlighting the strength of AI-focused startups on the list; 13 of the 100 companies are AI-native.
32% of the ranking came from B2B software, still the top-performing vertical for a third straight year, while climate tech accounted for nine companies.
Milan dominated the geography with 27 ranked startups, ahead of Barcelona’s 14 and Madrid’s seven, underscoring northern Italy’s growing weight in southern Europe’s startup scene.
