Mercedes revealed its first electric AMG GT 4-Door as a super sedan with up to 1,153 horsepower and 1,475 lb-ft of torque, with the top GT 63 version reaching 0-60 mph in 2.0 seconds.
Three YASA-developed axial-flux motors and a new battery with direct oil cooling underpin the performance, letting the car repeat hard runs without overheating, Mercedes said.
An 800-volt system supports charging at up to 600 kW, enabling a 10%-80% refill in 11 minutes and compatibility with five DC charging standards including NACS and CCS2.
Mercedes also leaned into software and theater: MB.OS runs a centralized control chip, while more than 1,600 sound files simulate AMG engine notes, exhaust burbles and virtual gear shifts.
The GT 55 is due in late 2026 and the GT 63 in early 2027; Mercedes has not yet disclosed pricing.
