Samsung Expands May 2026 Security Update to Galaxy A54 and A56, Fixing 2 Critical Flaws

Samsung has started pushing its May 2026 security update to the Galaxy A54 and A56, a day after the Galaxy A55 became the first A-series model to receive it.
The patch bundles 29 Android fixes from Google—including 2 critical and 27 high-priority vulnerabilities—plus 10 Samsung-specific fixes aimed at protecting device data and system components.
Galaxy A54 units are getting the update in India, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Ukraine, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia, while the Galaxy A55 rollout is underway in Europe.
Samsung said some fix details remain undisclosed for security reasons, and the company is expected to accelerate updates across more key Galaxy models before the end of May.
