Google I/O brought Adobe’s latest AI distribution move: its “for creativity connector” will roll out to Gemini in the coming weeks, putting Adobe’s creation workflow inside Google’s chatbot.
Hundreds of millions of Gemini users will be able to describe an image, design or video task in plain language, while Adobe’s agent selects tools, sequences steps and asks for approval before moving ahead.
Adobe said the connector is meant to keep users in one interface while linking ideation in Gemini with Firefly Boards and Creative Cloud apps including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Express.
The Gemini launch extends a broader push to place Adobe’s tools wherever creators already work, after Firefly AI Assistant and a Claude connector that already offers 50-plus pro-grade tools.
At the center of that strategy is Adobe’s creative agent, which the company says will ultimately expose 60-plus tools from across Creative Cloud as competition intensifies around AI-driven creative assistants.
