Nvidia will set up its first Singapore research hub, giving the chipmaker a second Asia-Pacific research presence focused on embodied AI and more efficient AI infrastructure.
The lab will work with universities, industry partners and government agencies as Nvidia deepens its push into robotics through models, systems and chips.
Singapore paired the launch with a new embodied-AI testbed due later in 2026, where companies including Certis, DHL, Grab and QuikBot will co-design and validate commercial robotics applications.
A new Center for Intelligent Robotics will also trial food and parcel delivery, cleaning and security patrol use cases with firms such as Slamtec, Unitree and QuikBot.
The moves, unveiled at the opening of ATxSummit, underscore Singapore's bid to become a regional AI hub despite its small domestic market.
