Huazhi Future hosted officials from Jimunai County in Xinjiang and China General Nuclear Power Group in Qingdao to discuss cooperation on green energy use and AI computing infrastructure.
Qiang Zeng said the MAAS subsidiary is pushing a standardized “compute-power + energy” model, using modular intelligent computing centers to speed deployment and improve energy efficiency.
The talks also featured Huazhi Future’s Star Distributed Intelligent Computing Center Project, which the company said can provide flexible, scalable computing capacity for regional industries in western China.
The outreach builds on MAAS’s broader AI expansion after completing the Huazhi acquisition for about RMB1.1 billion in March and unveiling a computing-center plan with up to RMB5 billion of investment in April.
Can MAAS's nuclear-powered AI hubs in remote Xinjiang truly outpace coastal tech centers and global rivals?
As AI's energy demand soars, will this 'compute + nuclear' model become the global standard for green supercomputing?
