Janelle Stelson defeated Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas in the Democratic primary for Pennsylvania’s 10th District, earning a second straight general-election matchup with Republican Rep. Scott Perry.
A few thousand votes separated Perry and Stelson in 2024, leaving the central Pennsylvania seat among the more competitive House races as Democrats target one of the Freedom Caucus’ most conservative members.
Stelson, a former Lancaster TV anchor backed by Gov. Josh Shapiro, ran as a pro-choice Democrat who said she would repeal Trump’s tariffs while also criticizing Joe Biden’s handling of the border.
The race has also drawn scrutiny over Stelson’s residency after reports she had remained registered in Lancaster—outside the district—before moving in 2025 to East Pennsboro Township within the 10th.
