Andy Richter will serve as the first-ever "Commander in Beef" for the second annual Wienie 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Richter said he was thrilled to join the event after last year's inaugural race turned Oscar Mayer's fleet of Wienermobiles into a standout spectacle in the Indianapolis 500 buildup.
The 2nd Wienie 500 is scheduled for Friday, May 22, before attention shifts to the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.
That main race is already taking shape with defending champion Alex Palou on pole, Alex Rossi in 2nd after a heavy practice crash, and David Malukas 3rd.
