Steam Frame Wins Comfort Praise Over Meta Quest 3 at 440 Grams

VoodooDE said a nearly final Steam Frame unit was "the best" headset he has used, adding that it feels much more comfortable than Meta Quest 3.
At about 440 grams, the Steam Frame is notably lighter than Meta Quest 3 at roughly 515 grams, reinforcing the comfort advantage cited in early hands-on impressions.
Valve asked the reviewer to remove Steam Frame images from X, and he complied despite saying he had signed no NDA and was testing a unit apparently shared by a friend.
Glasses support remains only partly tested: VoodooDE has not tried it, but Godot XR's Bastiaan Olij previously said it worked fine, and Valve plans prescription lenses before launch.
A release date is still unclear, with VoodooDE saying he has "no idea" when the headset will go on sale as Valve prepares its broader 2026 Steam hardware rollout.
