China-bound preorders for Lenovo’s three new Lecoo laptops open May 26, led by the Air 13 and Air 15 with Intel Core 5 320 chips and the Air 14 with a Core 5 315.
The lineup is aimed at the affordable-premium segment against Apple’s MacBook Neo, with Lenovo highlighting up to 16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0 storage—more memory than the Neo’s 8GB ceiling.
Air 13 packs a 13.3-inch 2560x1600 120Hz matte display at 400 nits in a 14.3mm body, while Air 15 stretches to 15.3 inches at 1920x1200 and 15.6mm thickness.
Air 14 is the lightest and slimmest at 1kg and 12.95mm, but drops to 12GB RAM, a 60Hz screen and 300 nits brightness, with Lenovo citing 15W stable performance versus 24W-27W on the larger models.
Lenovo has not disclosed prices yet; the laptops debut first in China and may later launch globally under the IdeaPad brand.
With chips that beat Apple on paper, can Lenovo’s new laptops truly challenge the $599 MacBook Neo’s real-world user experience?
Can Intel's 'Project Firefly' strategy finally deliver a Windows laptop that rivals the MacBook's premium feel at a much lower price?
